About the Role
TAC Auction is a fast-paced heavy truck, equipment, and vehicle auction company, and we're hiring two Customer Service Representatives for our office team. You'll be the first voice many of our buyers, sellers, and dealers hear. Most of your day will be on the phones, and on sale days you'll help register bidders.
This role is for someone who wants more than a phone job. Our CSRs are cross-trained over time in vehicle title processing. Team members who show accuracy, consistency, and good judgment will have the chance to move into title work. Attention to detail matters from day one.
The auction business moves fast. Sale days are high-energy, deadlines are tight, and priorities can shift by the hour. When things get busy, it's all hands on deck: everyone pitches in, whether that means covering for a coworker, helping another department, or handling a task that isn't in your job description. We want people who enjoy that kind of teamwork and step up without being asked.
What You'll Do
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls professionally and route or resolve them promptly
- Answer questions from buyers, sellers, and dealers about upcoming sales, registration, payments, and pickup
- Register bidders on sale day and verify that their information and documents are complete and accurate
- Respond to emails and take accurate messages and follow-ups
- Enter and update customer information in our auction systems
- Rotate through title department tasks as part of ongoing cross-training
- Pitch in wherever the team needs you, including tasks outside your usual duties on sale days and during busy stretches
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail. You catch errors before they become problems.
- A clear, friendly phone manner and the ability to stay calm when things get busy
- Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through
- Comfort with computers, data entry, and Microsoft Office
- Dependable attendance for a full-time, five-day, in-office schedule
- A willingness to learn new processes and take on more responsibility
- You do well in a fast-paced environment and can switch gears quickly when priorities change
- A team-first attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever you're needed
Preferred, Not Required
- Customer service or front-desk experience, especially at an auction, dealership, or in automotive or finance
- Any exposure to vehicle titles, tags, or DMV paperwork
